Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information the California Wrongful Termination Law Review (“CWTLR,” “the Review,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects when you visit wrongfulterminationlawreview.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect very little.

Effective date: June 18, 2026

The short version

The Site is a free, informational legal publication. We do not sell your personal information, we do not run advertising, and we do not require you to create an account or submit personal information to read our content. The main information collected is standard web-server log data and aggregate usage statistics from Google Analytics.

Information we collect

Information you provide. If you email us (for example, at the address in the “Contact us” section below), we receive your email address and whatever information you choose to include in your message. We use it only to respond to and manage your inquiry. The Site does not host comment forms, user registration, or newsletter sign-up, and does not store form submissions.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard server-log information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your request. This information is used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics (provided by Google LLC) to understand how visitors use the Site on an aggregate basis — for example, which pages are most read. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (such as _ga) to distinguish visitors and sessions, and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate geographic location, device and browser type, and referral source. Google uses your IP address to derive an approximate location; in Google Analytics 4, Google states that it does not log or store IP addresses. We have not enabled Google’s advertising features or cross-site “Signals” in Analytics, and we do not use this data for advertising.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing Google’s opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. To learn how Google handles data, see Google’s Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy and “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services” at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

How we use information

We use the limited information we collect to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site; to understand which content is useful; and to respond to messages you send us. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with the service providers that help us operate the Site — our website host and Google Analytics — and only as needed for them to provide their services. We may also disclose information if required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of the Site, our readers, or others.

Third-party links

The Site links to external websites, including courts, government sources, and the firm websites of contributing attorneys. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. This Policy applies only to this Site.

Data retention

Server logs are retained for a limited period by our hosting provider for security and operational purposes and then discarded or overwritten in the ordinary course. Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in our Analytics account. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your inquiry and for our records.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the Site, but no website or method of transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive or confidential information to us by email.

Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for a general, professional audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices and California privacy

You can browse the Site without giving us personal information, control cookies through your browser, and opt out of Google Analytics as described above. Because we collect very little and do not sell personal information, most formal data-rights frameworks impose few or no obligations on a publication of this kind; even so, if you would like to know what limited information we may hold about you, or ask us to delete it, email us and we will respond reasonably.

“Do Not Track.” Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no industry-standard response to these signals, and the Site does not currently respond to them differently. We do not knowingly permit third parties to collect personal information about your activities across different websites through the Site.

This Policy is provided consistent with the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA). To the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act) applies to us, we honor the rights it provides; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined.

International visitors

The Site is operated in the United States and intended for a United States audience. If you access it from outside the United States, your information will be processed in the United States.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the “Effective date” above. Your continued use of the Site after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Policy.
